Paint for PVC

What is a good durable paint for this plastic job. House paint peels right off even with the best primer I can find. No oil base in Socal, so I might just have to drive to Vegas or someplace to get this?

PPG used to make vinyl paint. I’m not sure if they still do. It was made specifically for painting vinyl.

A synthetic, xylol-based paint is what you want.
Local hardware store most likely won't have it, but a real paint store will if you ask.

Edit: You're in California-Good Luck!
Ask for a quick drying paint- it will probably be xylol.

Dang it harder then one may thing just try to locate paint. All the knowledgeable paint sales folks are almost all gone but a bunch of people who need jobs with little knowledge are left around here. Xylol. Got it. Like Uncle billy suggested, I should try auto paint supply house. Thanks

This. Just a quick wipe down to get any dirt or greasy fingerprints off, and Kyrlon plastic paint. Do a second coat after the first one dries a bit.

There are many different paints designed for plastic. Find an automotive paint shop. They will have color mixed rattle cans of paint designed for plastic, and a spray adhesive promoter. I painted some interior door panels on my El Camino that came out great.

Krylon is xylol-based.

I once opened a gallon can of quick-dry, and someone walking by said:
"That smells like spray paint!"
