My son/grandson and I are attending this year plan to get there today around 10:30 . Not driving any Porsche's this year as the platz sold out very quickly . We setup in the stadium seating area and walk around from there . Weather today will be perfect , sunny and mid to high 70's . It's a great event we have been attending for years . It's our man day outing . Enjoy the race !

Post some updates/pics if you guys can. Sounds like a record crowd and perfect weather. I wanted to attend this year, but the hurricane had other ideas. Porsche can claim the GTP hat trick (driver - team - manufacturer) titles if they keep out of trouble. Read an interesting statistic: IMSA's 18 manufacturers have all had at least one victory in 2024 (that includes the Mustang Challenge series, which gives Ford victories). But that's an incredible stat.

My hope for Petite is at the very least an AORacing GTD Pro championship. Pole was a great start. Problem at Petite is some knucklehead can take you out especially in the last hour. Much luck for Rexy and Spike. A Porsche-Penske GTP championship would be the icing on the cake. Hope all at the race have a great time. And always wondered what rfuerst911sc’ Boxster looked like. That is sweet. And maybe sound even better than it looks?

Damn, the 77 has electrical gremlins. Much tougher road to the championship.

Not a horrible season for Porsche. 9 IMSA titles in total including GTP (963) and GTD Pro (911 GT3R). About the only thing they didn't win was LMP2 which they were not entered in

It was a great event , the place was packed . Turns out the 5 points gained for getting pole position was the difference in winning the GTD Pro championship for Rexy # 77 . Porsche Penske was consistent with pace/pit stops and did what they had to . Congrats on the championship win . WTR get bit again by the racing gods in the final hour . It could have been a massive shunt so glad no one was injured . Looking forward to Daytona 😀

Really Happy Rexy got away with it... I have something against Astons winning.. They make GT cars at best, nothing you'd expect to ever see on track (I had the same feeling about bentleys), and in the past decades often did not participate in entire seasons and would only show up with a" BoP special" to win Le mans or Daytona or whatever, I always disliked them for that (I realize that's not the case here but the dislike remains) - glad the technical issue on the porsche didn't deprive them of a deserved championship ! Rexy's face probably contribute more to motorsport than any Porsche victory, kids love it !

Things are starting to line up for 2025. Renger van der Zande, who did a fantastic final stint to give Cadillac the win at Petit, is going to Acura, along with BMW's Nick Yelloly. Same as this year in GTP, Porsche, BMW, Acura and Cadillac will have 2-car teams. Single-car teams will be Heart of Racing/Aston Martin, JDC-Miller/Porsche, and Whelen/Cadillac. Iron Lynx/Lamborghini and Proton/Porsche will run 1 car teams in the endurance events.

Time to close the books on a very competitive 2024 IMSA season, and great results form Porsche! Look forward to IMSA 2025 discussions My take on ends from Petit Le Mans paddock...

The Porscheplatz was jam packed this year as mentioned above. Walking the rows, I only counted four air cooled P-cars, that was quite surprising.

^^^ There was a beautiful British racing green Porsche 912 did you see it ? It was stunning with black interior. I hope Rexy and Roxy paint schemes continue next year . Fan favorites and the kids love them . The 24 hours of Daytona is just around the corner .

Great pics! I've noticed the same at Sebring's Porsche Car Corral - most everything is 2000ish and newer. Even though some of those are nearly 25 years old, I just don't have a lot of interest in them (other than the GT3s). Yup, looking forward to Daytona

Reminder: WEC season finale is this weekend at Bahrain 8 Hours. Porsche has a chance to do a complete IMSA-WEC sweep!! Porsche has already won manufacturer & driver championships for IMSA GTP, IMSA GT3 and WEC GT3. So only the WEC Hypercar championships are in play - Porsche leads both manufacturer and driver standings. Unless absolute disaster strikes (a real possibility in an 8 hour race) they will likely win the drivers championship. But Toyota is close in the manufacturers standings and if Toyota wins the race, they will win that championship. Ferrari has a slim chance of taking it, but Porsche and Toyota both would need disastrous races.
