Top two times today set by customer 963's . Penske cars were 8th and 10th . Qualifying should be interesting but it doesn't matter where you start its where you finish after 24 grueling hours .

The GTP cars are about 1.5 seconds faster than last year.

The GT cars this year are one of the more exciting things happening. BMW, Chevy Corvette, Ford Mustang, Porsche, McLaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Lexus/Toyota, Acura/Honda, Aston Martin, Mercedes. Pretty much a who's who of manufacturers. And with the GT3 spec, they are much closer to production cars. Pfaff switching from Porsche to McLaren should be really interesting to see. 2 factory and 2 privateer Corvettes in the field. The factory Mustangs. Should be good!! :cool:
Also! Good to see they axed the LMP3 cars from the main field. They were the cause of many incidents over the years (directly or indirectly). Sure, they needed them as field fillers for several years, but that case has been reversed. |
