Max is already on his way to an easy 4th title and could not care less about staying in F1 for a long time or having more titles than Lewis (said so many times, it would take too long). Not sure what the endgame for Jos/Max is, more $ ? More freedom ? Leaving the best team ? avoiding getting caught in the coup? Proving he is the reason RB got all those titles (not newey) ?
Supposedly there are clauses tied to Horner's departure such as Newey could leave and Max also, there are various factions inside redbull, one of which wants Horner gone. Jos has basically completely burned bridges with Horner this week end, and was also spotted chatting to Toto so now rumors are swirling about Verstappen going to Mercedes.. But contract wise ? probably cannot happen with Horner in place.. No way around it all, it's basically a battle of the heirs of power after the owner died. Maybe Horner made a play for it that's backfired? One thing's for sure, he's not going to Alpine ;-( 2 tech/aero guys "resigned" already, Harman and DeBeer. It's 11 Kgs overweight as it did not pass the crash test initially, and the engine is apparently from an entry level Clio with so little power it's elegible for the eco-bonus, crap.. There goes my underdog team. |

Man, that's ^^^^ much ado about nothing. A jack touched the car. Oh, wow.
What these children ought to do is unload their cars and crews inside an American dirt track and settle the issues like good ol' boys do. I think a dirt mile would work. |

With respect to the car scale photos on the previous page, those are totally miscaled. The tires are, in reality, the same dimensional width and only a inch in diameter in difference, so should be substantially the same size when the cars are situated side by side.
|
I measured the width of the rear tires (18.3mm and 23.3mm) and scaled a copy of the early car to the larger width tire (127.3%)

The one I posted is an allegation he tried to sway Las Vegas race to not be certified to run due to alleged safety concerns . Am I wrong ? |
honer's toast. and he probably should be. 80% of his job is keeping newy and max on the team, and if he isnt doing that, hes gone in a heartbeat.
and good riddance, he always seemed entirely too squeaky clean ... no doubt he abused his power with a subordinate sexually. they should probably consider prosecution. |
Sorry rfuerst911sc, my bad.

Another Alpine departure
Yet another Alpine abandon ship departure . This one heading to Aston Martin .

Bob Bell is an awesome engineer thoroughly pleasant guy, a rare combo in F1 and joy to work with
He never seeks the headlines and has been instrumental winning championships with McLaren and Senna, Renault and Alonso and pointing Mercedes in the right direction for their run of world championships Aston Martin just bought themselves a huge step towards winning a world championship, Alpine have lost all hope of ever winning a race |
Really sad considering Ryan Reynolds just invested ☹️
As for Aston, Stroll senior should step up, grab Sainz, but sadly that means demoting his son. Which wins, business or family? |
