Windows 10 Internet shortcut security warning

After a recent update, every time I use an internet shortcut, I'm getting a security warning pop-up. This is quite annoying. I have to now click twice to get to any saved website that is bookmarked.

Anyone know how to disable this feature? I've tried most of the suggestions from a Google search but they were all before this patch and do not seem to work.

These are internet shortcuts saved by windows and used in my favorites bar



The security vulnerability was that someone would send you a file which would be just like these links, and if you click on it you would be sent to a malicious website.

Seems like killing a fly with a sledgehammer

Now anytime I use my favorites bar and click on a link, the security warning pops up.

Just tried to log into PP.
Got a "Insecure" "HTTPS not available" "HTTP only" warning screen.

Restarted Waterfox and got HTTPS.

They do not want you to continue using windows 10

Can you just uninstall that particular update?

If you create a new shortcut today (post update) does that shortcut also cause the same warnings (Do shortcuts created since update cause the same warning as shortcuts from before the update)?
