Just got back from watching with the family, meh!
My wife and I didn’t like it much, our boys did. Visually it was cool, but that’s about it for me… |
The books were very complex in history and story. Difficult to read.
Much more so than Star Wars. That leads to a vast cult following of kids trying to outdo each other with knowledge and dedication The first film was hazy at best. |

I saw it again the other night as it will be leaving IMAX soon, hoping the Godzilla Kong movie moves to it. Also need to see Late Night with the Devil for no other reason than the 70s vibe. But should be good.
A little better the second time, I caught more nuance and the story was still fresh and exciting. |
Having read all the novel books in the series several times, It'd be near impossible to truly understand the complexities of the whole thing as a Dune Noobie. I won't remove my Brain and $20 from my wallet to watch a pure CGI of Lizard and Monkey playing nice together.
