Have you played with AI images?

For the Windows 11 users (and maybe others) open up Microsoft Edge, and look at the far top right hand side and see the little ribbon just under the X that closes the program? Click on the ribbon and a pannel opens up. At the bottom is a window that says Ask me anything.

Ask it to draw you a picture and describe what you want.

I typed in draw me a picture of a black and tan miniature dachshund jumping over a log in the woods. Hey it was the first thing that came to mind.

Then I asked for a white 1985 911 on the race track. Not too bad, but not quite right.

So, think up something and show everyone what your imagination comes up with.

I’ve played around a little bit….amazing and scary at the same time. We are pretty much at the point where you won’t be able to tell reality from fantasy - with video and speech too. It’s only going to get way better quality from here, and very quickly.

This is 100% AI generated. There are ZERO humans in this 100 second trailer. Not a single one. I honestly found it hard to believe at first but Ive gone down the rabbit hole a bit it and now think it is true. Amazing and scary both.

Photoshop was the beginning of photos you just can't trust. We have all seen Photo-chop poorly done images. The good ones are impossible to tell from reality.

AI movies will happen eventually. The voices will be the hardest thing for AI to make sound real.

Can you ask for one with the puppy having a mouse tail hanging out of it's mouth while leaping? I've got Windows 10 so I guess I cant do it.

they are getting pretty good already IMO...all kinds of Voiceover work for corporate vids, etc., will all be AI soon. All you have to do is write the text, and done. No more hiring voice talent. I've heard of some people getting scammed too when their "grandson" calls and needs help bailing him out, etc. Those scams have been around forever but today with just a few seconds of recording someone's actual voice, you can clone it pretty well.

If you use Edge, it may well work for you.

It is kinda fun to see a totally imaginary scene on screen. The gorilla riding a motorcycle is pretty cool.

Killing used part sales, like show me a pic of the crankshaft with today's newspaper in it, or with a $5 bill. Look out folks.

Interesting, never thought of that angle….yup, the fraud scenarios are many.

Zeke- "That Motorcycle could use some foot pegs"

AI already considered that since it's and early Triumph T120 the foot pegs would have rattled off years ago, since Gorilla's are notoriously bad mechanics it would not have been repaired.

I stumped it by asking to create a photo of an elephant sitting on a yellow 1972 Porsche 911 Targa.

The response:

I apologize, but creating a photo of an elephant sitting on a yellow 1972 Porsche 911 Targa is beyond my capabilities. However, I can tell you that the 1972 Porsche 911 Targa is a classic beauty. It features a 2.4-liter flat-six naturally aspirated engine, rear-wheel drive, and a 5-speed manual gearbox. The S version produces 190 horsepower and 159 ft-lbs of torque, allowing it to reach 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds with a top speed of 145 mph1. The Targa model was designed with a removable roof and a roll bar to comply with safety regulations while maintaining the open-top driving experience1. If you ever come across one, it’s definitely a car worth admiring!

Whelp, it got most of that right.

Oddly, it seemed to have no problem with "create a photo of a gorilla doing a wheelie in a yellow 1972 Porsche 911 Targa"

Only slightly weird looking. like me.

Three armed Gorilla- the most dangerous kind.

A sure tip on this one- the Gorilla has a third hand growing out of, um somewhere
