I have a model 710 and no way I'd pay that price.

Fool and his money.

It is for the very rich that buy 250K watches just because they can.

I will stick to my old trusty Victornox Swiss Officers knife. Way more useful, and I get 20 to 25 years service out of one.

I once sent my Victorinox to the US office for a repair, they replied that my knife "required repairs that cannot be performed in this country" so I could choose to receive a new knife at no charge or to have my knife sent to Switzerland for repair which could take many months. Obviously I was supposed to choose the former, but I chose the latter. Six months later I received a little package from Switzerland with my knife, which had been completely disassembled, polished, reground, new handles, completely restored - but there were the remnants of some formerly deep gouges in metal that confirmed it was my knife rather than a new one. No charge. I don't know if Victorinox customer service remains that good now.

I love Benchmade knives, but no way in hell even if it was 1/3 that price.

I live near Benchmade and know lots of people who own them. Occasionally, someone who works there.

Still don’t get it. Huge $$$ for a knife.

Yeah, I'd like a factory second. The sort of one that would normally go in the scrap metal bin but I got to own it for five bucks.

$1,500, I'd rather go to Rarotonga for pina coladas.

At that price, I’d be a-scared to use it for anything!

I paid less than that for my 1988 Mazda, a car I still own today.

No thanks.

Will it do the dishes as well and clean the toilet? It had better for that price.

$49 Kershaw FTW.

Yeah..like cleaning battery connections...

I'm sure the collectors will buy, but actually use? Probably not.

I think I've spent up to 20 bucks for knives before. They do knife things and I'm not afraid to lose them or break them.

I got this baby (Spartan Silver Tech) for my grandson for like 1/100th the price of that Benchmade, prolly because it has a worthless corkscrew instead of a Phillips head driver. Even then, I have no use for 100 of these even if I had that kind of money.
