Paddle To The Sea

I remember watching this short movie when I was in elementary school. Does anyone else remember seeing this movie?

I too remember it as a book. When? 4th or 5th grade....early 50's, maybe '53 or '54? No matter. Thanks Hobie...took a break from watching to type this.

I read the book to my son when he was about 6 years old. It was one of his favorites and I read it over and over. I didn’t know there was ever a video.

Oh yeah, remember it well.

Early 60s. One of the few books which assumed kids had a brain.

Best

The book first published in 1941. Wow! Sure is better material than some of today's elementary school books that get mention on cable news.

(edit) For those of you with small children or grandchildren, the book is still available on Amazon.

Yup, we all got to watch this when I was in grade school in the late '60's - early '70's. Funny, I have thought about it over the years, wishing I could remember what it was. Thanks for the link, my question has been answered.

Yeah, I saw the movie when I was in elementary school, as mentioned, 1st or 2nd grade, and for some reason, it has stuck with me all these years.

That was a Canadian Film Board production.
We must have seen it dozens of times though grade school. Funny it never got old.

One of those rare stories that sticks with you. Also a good teaching piece, pointing to the cycle of water...from snow in the mountains to the sea..and back again.

My thanks to Hobie for the fond memories..
