I've never seen anything like it, so I bought it!

Yup. That's true. I just posted a video on this car that I bought that I still cannot identify. I tried posting this over on r/namethiscar , but no one over there could figure it out either?

Thoughts?

I've seen plenty of uglier dune buggies. I'm surprised that someone from Samba hasn't figured out the origin.

Racerbvd's pictures look like a British Advanced Automotive Design (AAD) Nova kit car with the canopy half cut off.

https://www.sterlingkitcars.com/history_pages/nova/history_module_nv.html

I think there were licensed manufacturers in other countries making under different names. For example, it was called an Eagle kit car in South Africa, a Purvis Eureka in Australia.

Similar cars were made elsewhere, maybe it's a derivative of a US version?

There were many iterations of VW pan based concoctions. In 1966 I worked at Berry Plasti-glass that made aftermarket fiberglass tops for Austin Healeys, MG's and the like. You could tell them by the textured finish and small porthole window on the C pillar.

They made the Ford J-car race body (built from Ford plans so the failure of the car was no fault of BPG). And They made the Mini T. It was an in-house design:

One of the other enterprises was making modern furniture out of FG with designs ripped from Italian designs of the day. This kind of thing:

Yes sir, mine is a Stirling Targa, it doesn't use the typical Stirling canopy. This body is slightly different.

This is one of the coolest Stirling based kit cars.
