Your go to music videos?
So, having a great weekend, did the full service on the wife’s Cayenne and I’m stiffer than ****, but great Canada Day! She’s watching something on the iPad next to me, so I’m on my own for content; I always go for rock videos! lol
I can’t help it, it’s awesome, so many bands I could never see, now I can see original concerts, or recordings (The Who in 4K OMG), but I digress, tonight I saw (again) what I believe to be the best vocal performance ever! ((Caveat: I’m Canadian, and this was the Juno’s) prove me wrong ![]() And cheers to the Manitoba PHO https://youtu.be/P_NpxTWbovE?feature=shared - Please embed

Yes, I've been watching a whole totta music youtubes too. Loving it
The great thing about being spied on by google and youtube is they guess what you may like and put it in your lineup for you. I've been watching and listening to some 70's and 60's music. Actually I quite like Vietnam war music. |

I enjoy watching Bruce Springsteen concert footage. Every show he plays a request from the floor that is not one of his songs or on his set list.
He’s coming to Calgary soon and I’m tempted to pony up for some tix. Also really enjoy Mark Knopfler live stuff…

I have been enjoying the Lexington Lab Band. They are a cover band that are amazingly spot on. Check out them doing Marc Cohn’s “walking in Memphis” , or Boston, Steely Dan, Journey, Molly Hatchet….and so many others. I would happily pay to see them play.

Vicki says this song is like sex. So we listen to it when we're too tired for the real thing.

Never got to watch MTV etc when they actually played videos... so I never really got into videos. I do tend to rip a lot of music via youtube, a plugin and some creative scripting
As far as what music on youtube? Well aside from all the classic album stuff, there is the live dead stuff from teh archives, the playing for change stuff, darryl's house, etc. Also like to hear great covers and different arrangements of stuff as well, like instrumental or acoustic versions, etc.

Are we starting a new music thread?
One of the biggest threads on the forum has consistently been Baz' "What are You Listening To" thread, chock full of our favorite YouTube vids, has been for years. Usually found on page 1 of the blog. https://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/1057142-what-you-listening-today-music-379.html#post12275388 (And if you want to hear fun and interesting music, I suggest looking for Skip Newsome and John Walker's Workshop on that thread- those two guys know how to find some obscure, but great stuff)

(And I've been on a Hartford jag for about a week. There's something touching and beautiful about his voice and lyrics that I guess really resonates (ha ha) with me right now.
