Nürburgring Videos

I can't stop watching this guy's videos... impressive. He drives people's cars far harder than they ever could.

If I was 45 years younger so I'd have a chance of handling it, and Trump money so I could afford it,
a car I would prefer over a singer.

I always wished I could have someone like him or better yet, Sabine Schmitz drive my car around a track to show me what it can really do. I never push super hard on track as I plan of driving it home undamaged. Maybe better yet, Walter Röhrl.

I can't see shipping my car to Germany, so not that track.

First he was a low-rung comedian, then a wildly corrupt politician, now Zelensky is taking people for hot-laps on the Ring?

It sounds exactly like my 911. I was surprised to see it was a modified 993 engine.

That I understand. Funny thing though, I'm not thinking in that practicality when on a lap. That only comes to mind when you're facing the wrong way.

IMO, no thread about laps at Nurburgring is complete without Sabine Schmitz:

The Green hell is roaring this weekend!

Guys, just want to point your attention on this weekends 24hrs race on the Nürbürgring which is being streamed worldwide through Youtube even with spectacular cockpit live streams from the race at the channel. 130 cars, 15.7mls track, from close to production touring cars up to GT3 race cars. Jim Glickenhaus is also part of the race with it's brand new release of the SCG004C race car propelled by a GM 6.2ltr NA V8 engine...
More info:
https://www.24h-rennen.de/en/2024/05/26/the-full-24h-enjoyment-in-the-livestream/
Streams:
https://www.youtube.com/@24hnbr/streams

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C3%BCrburgring

Unfortunately the race itself won't be available in several countries including the US which is a pity, but there are TV options available in these countries:

The international stream is not available in some countries due to exclusive broadcasting rights. The geoblocking only affects the actual race, not the qualifying sessions and broadcasts of the supporting programme. The countries affected are France incl. overseas territories (channel: Auto Moto La Chanie), USA and Canada (channel: Speedsport1) as well as Hungary (Arena4). In other countries, third-party channels are blocked – but the 24h Nürburgring can be watched there via the national TV partners or via the official channels of the 24h (24h-rennen.de/live or youtube.com/24hNBR).

Have fun!

Thomas

IMO one of the most emotional documentaries about a race and even of the Nürburgring:
"Chameleon": https://youtu.be/NCf2ZLCxUmQ
Mostly german comments, but as well some english comments too...But the pics speaks for themselves ... Covers the occasions on the 2017 race which turned out as one of the craziest races ever happened with heavy rain and hail in the first hour of the race and a crazy end where hopeless and glory changed within one hour...

I had a pro driver drive my car at Mosport with me in the passenger seat. He asked me if he could take the car up to redline and I said of course. I did not know he meant live at redline the whole time. We were passing GT3's (10 years ago) in the rain!
I'd never do it again as I like my car
