2 BAT Auctions: '72 Scout and '73 Kawasaki Z1

If in the shopping mood. Both very Original and Low Miles:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-kawasaki-z1-900-18/

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-international-harvester-scout-ii-54/

I'm at the age where it's time to downsize.

Good luck on both of those sales.

I think I'd push my Chevy Blazer off a cliff to get my hands on that Scout!

Fly and drive, you know the way here. Back in about 2015 or 16 if I recall....

I rode a Z1 back in the day. It was the bad ass boy back then. The handling didn't match the power but who cared?

That Scout is going to do really well on BaT. Prices have gone kooky on those, no luck will be required.

Congrats, Bob! Nice outcome.

Curious how the whole experience was dealing with the auction people. All go OK? Anything stand out as odd to you?

Also - are you happy with the results? EDIT: Just saw your reserve was met so obviously you must have been pleased, Bob!

Thanks for any insights and congrats again, sir!

Dang, that Scout was sweet. I really, really considered bidding further. Congrats on the sale!

I'm pretty happy with both. I had the Z1 since 1988 and only had $1,300 in it. I bought the Scout 2 years ago of $8K and put less than $500 in it...........Was a good payday and cleared some inventory.

Thanks BAZ, my experience with BAT was much better than last time I dealt with them. About 5 years ago, I wanted to put my '69 911 coupe project on there and they jacked me around on the reserve and it was a 3 month wait time. I bailed and sold it here on Pelican in a few days.

This time, they were reasonable with my reserve ($12K on the bike and $20K on the Scout) and started the auctions within a week. Since I thought it would be 3 months, I didn't even have time to polish up the engine cases and forks on the bike. It was great communication and an easy process for me. Both buyers wired money right away and are arranging curb side pickup. I'm happy.

Seems like a fair price for that Scout, very sweet, glad I did not look earlier or I might be doing that fly/drive thing.

Donorcycle, no thanks.
