Ride it to the shop. Just go slow. Your ass, back and balls will ache.

If you didn't have a flatbutt, you would have a little more cushion.

HA!

Prolly not the vid y'all were thinking about.

While searching for the original vid I saw a bit which referred to her as a "phlegm fatale". That's hilarious!

I must be missing something. Vehicles are suspended by springs. Shocks simply prevent wheels from moving too quickly toward or away from the rest of the vehicle. It would seem to me that a vehicle with a blown shock is still driveable, short distances, slow speeds.

There are all sorts of vehicles. A car with a blown shock will exhibit wheel hop (oscillation) after hitting an irregularity in the road surface. That may not be a problem as the sprung weight is a small percentage of the total weight of the vehicle. On the trike however, the sprung weight of the axle is a significant percentage of the total weight of the machine and undampened oscillations could lead to loss of control. Just recall how a front end oscillation in the steering can rapidly evolve into a "tank slapper".

Hopefully he has resolved the issue by now.

It is not a question that can be answered here. It may do ok or it may be a bucking bronco. Take it for a slow ride around the block and see how she handles.

15 miles back roads or highway? Back roads, no problem. Highway, no way.

Methinks FB lives were one small town/city seamlessly runs into another (I've been to Butler )... during the day, non-rush hour, take it easy (after a trial around the block) ...

Ride safe !

I went for a slow spin around the hood and it was ok. I will venture out onto the county road this evening when there is no traffic.

My route to the wrench involves back roads with a posted limit no higher than 40.

I'm thinking the cost of a tow would pale in comparison to the cost of fixing that nice trike if something were to go really wrong in those 15 miles.
