I don't exactly understand the question. Well, maybe I do. Either way, I have made a career in sales. Where, finding common ground is importand as well as not alienating your audience.

I typically work for common ground. I can agree on many many issues with most people. If we are 180 degrees apart on some issues, I find common ground and then work towards where we DO agree.
