FAFO - idiot kid vs cops gets an instant life lesson

I just REALLY don't understand people. What did this kid think was going to happen. The good news is that he doesn't seem to be a total loss. He did seem to instantly realize he'd farked up. I've seen a bunch of these sorts of videos from 2, 5, 10 time losers that never stop and keep doubling down. There's hope (some, not a lot) for this kid yet.

This won't end well for the police. Yes, the youth was an ass. Thing is that's not against the law. On the other hand the officer was easily baited into violating the youth's rights. It's his job to knows better. If I was on the jury that department would be paying serious damages, and hopefully the officer would be seeking another career path.

Yeah, it's not the response you expected, oh well.

I don't care for these videos.

I do generate a wet spot on my trousers when these "punk ask" know it all kids get smacked down hard but it's offset by the C words taking videos inside the municipal office, police parking lot, business locations immediately adjacent, etc, creeping everybody out and being blowhards.

Just talking. Not demanding it has to be my way. A passing thought......

Do the laws vary among states? Some vids the police suck it up and others they slam them hard.

The law is never articulated.

Bullschit. That is the world's dumbest kid, probably raised being told that he's the best/smartest/toughest/etc. that ever lived. He threatened the cop. He's glad that they have to wear body cams these days, when I was his age, he would have gone to the hospital on his way to jail.

And he was carrying brass knuckles. Just so lucky that it's 2024 and not anytime in history previously.

I'm sure you're right; however, he's not wearing a badge.

He directly challenged the officer to a fight. That is generally considered a threat. Then he claimed to be a minor which he is not.

Whatever the details of the law are, the kid should have just STFU instead of trying to impress his friends with how staunch he is. The outcome it will be expensive and stressful.

And hopefully he will learn a lesson in the process with relatively minor consequences. Hell, her code get off, but it will still be scary and stressful.

The chip was pretty relaxed and tolerant right up until he wasn't.

Queue that Dave Dave Chappelle video...

How about showing the police a basic level of respect?

As a teenager one of the first things I realized is the futility of combating with police (watching others).

I suspect many didn't watch until the end of the video, but at the end the kid got VERY respectful and apologetic. But too little, too late.

Nah, pretty much what I would expect from some people.

But I think it will end just fine for the officer. He didn't punch the young delinquent or use excessive force.

The young man balled up his fists and got in the officers face. He even feigned a punch.

The officer doesn't have to wait to see if this idiot is really bluffing or get struck before he can take any action. The officer put him on the ground and handcuffed him. DONE.

Hopefully that kid learned a lesson....

I would think a retired cop's words hold a LOT more weight than Dixie's...

Stupid kids aside...I love that at least two of those tweens have good strong broccoli head going on.

It makes it easier to spot idiots from far away and avoid them.

1975, Oregon, Ohio (adjacent to Toledo) Friday midnight showing of Alice's Restuarant at the mall.

In line for tickets and kid says "I smell a pig" and he was down in three seconds and out the door to spend the weekend with some new friends.

What the kid in the YouTube video said was more flagrant than that. Did the police have more latitude then than now or were laws changed? Federal or state law? It baffles me that the public can speak to authority in such a disrespectful manner.

Edit: Freedom of speech is protected under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, so non-threatening verbal abuse of a police officer is not in itself criminal behavior

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contempt_of_cop

However the kid was threatening, physically and verbally.

That 20-year-old punk got exactly what he deserved. I hope he is prosecuted and put behind bars for a while. Police don't expect people to kiss their butts, but being civil is the minimum. The police are there to protect society and this officer was just doing his job. He does not have to let the punk hit him first before he controls and cuffs him.
