Someone play taps. Who's got a bugle?

I have a very old V1, and I have a V1v2 which is even better. When they release an update, I download it to my cell phone and then upgrade the V1 via bluetooth from the phone.

Same here. And I have an app that let me customize the performance to suit my needs.

I looked into one of those, but I have my phone in landscape mode instead of portrait, and the app that I would use doesn't currently support landscape mode.

Seeing that he has his face in most of his ads I wonder if that will change.

Yep, I have that one in the wife's car and still use it. I never had any updates installed so it does give a lot more false alerts due to all of the various cars with adaptive cruise and I get more false laser hits due to modern tail lights. But it still works fine.

Valid point. I wonder if there's family to take up the torch or if it's going to be someone else in the business. I suspect his face will eventually disappear from the ads.

Have been using his products since they came out in the 70's under Cincinnati Microwave name. Been using them ever since. He was a great engineer and also a Porsche lover, he had Carrera GT, a Turbo and even a 918, and showed up at car shows and rallies all over the place. Very down to earth guy for all this fortune. Met him one time by accident wandering around a microwave tech show in Miami. RIP Mike.

I had the Escort radar detector, the G-analyst and in 2000 I bought a V1, that I still have.

On the highway now, I go max about 5-8 over, so haven’t used a radar detector in years.
