EDIT: Photo coming, I could not delete this for some reason?

Ok, here it is. Under the couch of my RV on the wall. Doorbell?

I'm stumped. Maybe some sort of invisibility cloak covering a broken RV HVAC unit?

True! He'd have provided not only the solution, but also the value over the past 5 years and a prediction of future value. Then he'd list the 10 that he's bought since the beginning of the year for pennies on the dollar.

Looks a bit like a telephone jack outlet. But hard to get a sense of scale.

But the capacitor wouldn't be in the jack point, umm.

There's a spring loaded pressure switch on the right side
Is that a capacitor, or a mercury level?

Google image search says it's a doorbell

Edit: Normally battery powered, but this one is hardwired into your existing 6V system

Definitely a doorbell. Ding on left, dong on right. Spring loaded plunger hits both sides. Greenish thing on top is a resistor.

Mystery solved, it seems. Now for a security angle..how about a doorbell that has the sound of a large dog barking?
