slow, slow, and slower

Taking a few minutes to post anything this morning.
Am I the only one having this happen?
All other sites are working fine.

why does Pelican force you to personally upload a photo and you can't just copy/paste the image? PITA.

even on a good day, takes 2 minutes to try and upload a couple of jpg files?

Yesterday and today (maybe Sat too), I've had intermittent issues. Sometimes click something (whether to post or go to a thread or...) and nothing happens until it eventually times out. It's not an issue on my Internet (I can do other stuff while PP the connectivity is timing out). It's like the PP server/database freezes every once in a while, and then frees up and works fine. Fortunately, it seems to be mostly good.

Yesterday the PP forums failed to load. Timed out. The main commerce site worked but also a little slow.
This morning got a single .db error message but otherwise ok.

Wish there was upload functionality for .png files. They are smaller.

If the image is already on the Internet in format .gif, .jpg, .png, then you can use the link to the image. (.webp does not embedd)

If the image is one of those previous formats, then you can upload (although you have to change .png name to .jpg) multiple (up to 6) as a drag and drop function.

You can't paste an image into a text box to post. I think that's pretty standard (some forums may allow it, but IME, most are similar to PP.

I don't know how much of the forum is based on what existed when Wayne was still running it, but I think Wayne coded a bunch of customizations into it when he ran it.

Thx. That's a hack which works but I was actually thinking of PP server storage space.

Renaming (vs exporting to a different format) doesn't change the image size.

I've turned off 75% of the bots. Sorry about that.

I've also had to sign in about every third time I've tried to open PPOT lately. Before I'd go for years without having to sign in.

Without using an app, I wish there was a way to change a PNG to a JPEG on my iPhone.
