I read about that and watched the building collapse. I’m surprised a 2000 pound bomb, would wipe out a building, but it probably wasn’t the most well built structure.
It’s interesting, that they turn a dumb bomb into a smart bomb. It has a range of 37 miles and if it’s gliding to its target, it must be fired at a very high altitude? |

The photos he got were pretty incredible. Definitely takes a fast lens and some talent (and balls) to get these shots of the missile coming in and the hit.

They were, according to the video, given a heads-up that this particular building would be struck: information so accurate that this guy was able to get perfectly set up to get these shots. Then came what he referred to as a warning shot, and then another, until eight minutes later the missile arrived and did what missiles like this are designed to do.
And still their enemies continue to claim that Israel is indiscriminate in its targeting. _

1 I would have NO IDEA how close I could be and still be "safe". 2 I would not be anywhere near the target. If I thought "I want to see that" I'd be on a hill miles away if that was an option. Imagine the kind of life you would have to lead and experiences you would have to have had to know "I can be this close and I should be safe."

"War is Hell" - Modern war is something else again.
In a few years there will be drones that will be able to target falling guided bombs. - Destroying them in the air well before hitting the intended target.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Dome This is was reignited the conflict a year ago, they figured out that if they swamped the iron dome with enough missiles at once, they could overcome it.
