What?!?!
|
Yeah, she was great. I always wondered if she would be as fun to be around as she seemed.
And didn't she take a shower on Letterman? As the show was ending, a camera followed her into a dressing room. She was wearing what appeared to be only a towel, then stepped into a shower, closed the door and threw the towel out as water was turned on. Anyone remember that?

I had to look up if she was married. Seems it was only for 3 years - 96-99?

Try to catch her in Martin Scorcese's "After Hours" sometime. Fun, quirky film with a great cast.

I read a story online about how Terri got the Young Frankenstein role . She originally read for the role that Madeline Kahn got . Madeline was offered the role but was being wishy washy about accepting the role . So Terri was brought in to read for it .
Madeline decided to accept the role so Mel Brooks asked Terri to come in to read for the assistant role but he wanted her to do it with a German accent . Terri was friends with Cher . Cher's wig designer was from Duesseldorf so Terri learned the German accent overnight from the wig designer . As we now know she nailed that audition/role and she said it was the highlight of her career .

I think Teri and Madeline both got the right roles. Madeline was also quite special, and we lost her in 1999 to ovarian cancer at 57 years old.

Watch her facial mannerisms... especially her eyes. I've always thought that Jennifer Anniston borrowed quite a bit from Teri.

Totally agree. Cloris Leachman was great, as well as everyone else.
