I wonder how much money this Porsche will sell for? If this car is such a "lifetime achievement award" for Jerry Seinfeld, then why sell it???
I can remember playing "Need For Speed High Stakes". I removed the game cars and replaced them with downloaded cars and I had this car on my game.

One of the high points when I was working at the CBS Radford lot where Seinfeld was shot was checking Jerry's parking space to see what cool car he was driving that day. Same at NBC when Jay was doing The Tonight Show.

I think Jerry owns the first 911 made and also owns a 901.

Kind of curious that this is being sold at a Mecum auction and not one of the houses that have more of an European focus.

Usually sales like this are handled privately between the parties. Mecum is like the Auto Trader of the auto auction houses.

Yeah but wouldn't it be a sight to see Frank Mecum trying to get into the 917K.

Agreed...

Maybe they begged JS to let them handle the sale. Lot's of free publicity in the motoring press...they've already been hyping it up for a while now. Maybe a way to move upmarket and start getting away from all the restomods and customs.

I swear I read he got (or was trying) the last air cooled one as well.
