I make a mess with fruit slices :D

I'm another fan of cherry pie.

And if not cherry pie then blackberry and apple, or blueberry and apple. Served hot with icecream on top.

I remember sitting at the counter of a truck stop and a driver ordering apple pie with a slice of Kraft cheese melted on top. A little daring for my taste.

My wife makes an awesome applie pie from scratch

I love pecan pie but many of the commercial offerings leave sometbing to be desired

Pumpkin pie is always good, and being in the south a good sweet tater pie is even better than pumpkin (and no marshmallows DO NOT belong anywhere near any sweet tater for any recipe)

Coconut cream pie is a good one but it has to be something more than pudding in a pie crust (though that is an acceptable base to build on)

That's so cool. And $184 must have been a LOT of money in 1941.

Bourbon pecan with some chocolate chips. Ohh baby.

Fruit pie all the way. Pecahn is just too sweet. Kinda like shoo-fly pie.

I'm a pie woke-ist. I don't discriminate and would very happily chow down on fruit, chocolate, etc....

At Thanksgiving my wife bought a caramel apple pie . For store bought it was quite good . Heat a slice in the microwave for 20 seconds then add one dollop of ice cream . Yum yum !

We also enjoy pecan and fruit pies , depends on the season and mood :D

My sister bought a caramel apple pie as well, I think it came from Publix, but I'm not sure, and yes, for a store bought pie, it was rather good.
My favorite will always be my Granny's pecan pie. She had some pecan trees in her yard, and one in particular produced a very good pecan, and that was what she used in her pies. She used to shell and freeze the pecans also, her upright freezer was full of gallon sized ziploc freezer bags full of pecan halves.

By the way, we say pecan as "pah-cahn" not "pee- cann" down here in the south!!!
A pee can is for...[emoji1787]

If you can eat the whole pie, non stop in one sitting, then it's your favorite!
Mine is cocoanut creme pie.

onewhippedpuppy 12-28-2024 12:09 PM

Pumpkin, I’m boring like that.

Scott Douglas 12-28-2024 12:45 PM

I've been an apple pie lover for a long, long time. A couple of years ago, well it may have been more than a couple, I got brave and tried a piece of pecan pie. I admit I avoided it as a youngster because I didn't think I'd like the texture of it. I finally discovered what I'd been missing all those years.
My grandmother could make the best apple pie from scratch with a woven top too, that you'd ever want to eat. My mom could do the same. My wife can do it too.
I bought a Dutch Apple pie at the store today. I won't force my wife to eat any of it. She prefers Sour Cream Cherry but they didn't have any. I can eat cherry pie, with ice cream, or not.
I'm not picky, apple, cherry, pecan are all good IMO. I'll take a hard pass on the pumpkin though.

I am not a desert guy so I asked my son: KLP, Baby.

He did say, like OldE, that it is seasonal…Pecan for Thanksgiving FTW.

Add another Key Lime addict here.

Also love Shoo Fly

.

A930Rocket 12-28-2024 02:18 PM

Pecan pie (with no alcohol in it) and even better with vanilla ice cream.

If we’re talking cake, then it’s pound cake. My SIL makes a killer pound cake.

jrj3rd 12-28-2024 02:21 PM

Pecan pie with a couple of shots of a good peaty scotch mixed in.
Mincemeat with bourbon mixed in like my Mom always made it.
Strawberry Rhubarb from my Grandmother.
Favorites always bring back good memories.

WSH 12-28-2024 02:43 PM

1) Cherry. No contest
2) Coconut cream
3) Key Lime
