Imsa/wec 2025
Lets go sportscar racing fans.
I meant to capitalize the acronyms, I really did. Will Porsche have another memorable year? |
|
Porsche/Penske now know enough about their package to be able to fine tune it . The little things can make a difference . But no teams stand still they all are looking for an advantage . I don't think there will be one dominant manufacturer this year the skill level is so close . But consistent performance will win the championship .
GT3 I am hoping Rexy can pull off the championship. Team has been together a long time and their chassis knowledge is well proven . I am also looking forward to see how the Iron Dames do in their new Porsche . My sleeper pick is Pfaaf Motorsport , they are solid and know a lot more about the McLaren. |
Pfaff switched things up again and will run a Lamborghini Hurcan for 2025. 3 different manufacturers in 3 years!

I wonder if it has something to do with McLaren's rumored GTP program? If McLaren is coming in, they'd want a team to run the GTP and GTD cars. Maybe that team is already chosen or Pfaff didn't want that big a program?
|
Where are you guys watching these races? They are hard to find.
|
IMSA - everything pretty much on Peacock. WEC is on Max/BR
|
Link to IMSA coverage, a blend of streaming and network. Looks like some races are left out. https://www.imsa.com/weathertech/tv-streaming-schedule/

Good to know thanks!
|
Matt, all IMSA races are on Peacock/NBC/USA. Some stuff is also available on IMSA.tv and/or their YouTube channel. WEC was on Motortrend TV last year. I'm not sure about this year, but need to take a look.

To follow racing TV coverage I like the website TVracer.com . Very user friendly and easy to read .

Speaking of Pfaff, their 992 GT3R Sebring winner is up for sale by Andretti Global (Andretti ran the car last year.)

BoP for the Roar, a two-stage system, https://sportscar365.com/imsa/iwsc/imsa-sets-roar-bop-two-stage-system-confirmed/.

Interesting entry to watch in GTD - Trackhouse Corvette. I think it's a one-off for the R24 only. No shortage of driving talent: Shane van Gisbergen, Connor Zilisch, Scott McLaughlin and Ben Keating.
