Nice pics Paul. How were the crowds today?
One thing they did yesterday that I had not seen before was they put up barriers that fans had to stand behind in front of the south garage entrance by the Penske garage. It worked out okay because I was in the front row. |
Crowds were bigger than ever it seems. Boy scouts, Moms with baby strollers, clueless people. Some people were having a hard time finding a place to park. Nearly the entire infield is reserved RV parking. Looks like the RV can come in for the Roar and stay all week. The Roar used to be a cool bonus for the fans.

^^^ We got there about 10am and by around 11 the infield parking was full. We (and many others) just walked around that barrier. I think it was intended for when the cars were leaving the paddock?? Not sure. Paddock was jammed after the first Weathertech session.

It's been raining all night here in Jax. Looks like a front is moving down the state. I won't be going down there today.
