The Curse of Bigfoot's Gold

Why is it that there are so many of these shows where they never find anything! They never find the monster, the gold, the ghost...

Nothing! The wind blows a curtain and all the lights are out - that proves there are ghosts in the house! They find some obscure bone fragment or footprint and that proves that Bigfoot or the Loch Ness monster was in the vicinity.

The only thing we know for sure is that aliens built the pyramids and laid down all those crop circles. The rest is all make believe.

For me its pretty easy...any major discovery would be on every MSM outlet in hours if not minutes.

So if there's a TV series about such things, filmed sometimes a year earlier, then the chances are pretty good nobody finds anything. Waste of time.-WW

Some people find these shows entertaining. The search, the dream,. the imagination.

It's similar to the guy who spends 20 years restoring a car he never finishes because the reality of the finished car could never be as good as the result he imagines.

Yeah...like this whole Oak Island thing. A friend of mine was going on and on about all of the mysteries and pirates and aliens and Yetis and everything associated with this island and I was like, "Uh...I've never heard of this - what are you talking about?".

A quick google shows that it is basically a made up story for a TV "reality" series built off of giant leaps of faith and gullible people.

But, mermaids are real. I saw that on a TV show once.

Oak island is a great story, very intriguing from the start. Now it's just ridiculous. Can anyone here imagine the amount of $100 bills they have thrown into that pile of dirt?...........unbelievable

There were books on Oak Island when I was a kid in the 1970's. They were matched up with stories of the Mary Celeste, etc.

There are dozens of shows that came and went looking for Bigfoot. One was even called Finding Bigfoot. So far they have not found one single hair, bone, pile of crap or any sort of physical evidence. Dozens of the guys that had fun making footprints have come forward and admitted the hoax. Just like crop circles, they guys that did it have confessed and will show anyone how they do it.

Just like the Roswell aliens, the locals just see a gold mine of tourists and the Loch Ness Monster is just a tourist draw.

It is all make believe. Ghosts, extraterrestrials, Bigfoot, Zombies and Vampires. As real as Unicorns.

I remember watching the Oak Island project on "In Search of" with Leonard Nemoy. There was actual treasure found decades ago. Those current clowns have every theory under the sun going.
Templars
Pirates
Romanov
Shakespeare manuscripts
Revolutionary-era British gold
Spanish gold
etc.
etc.

They find a splinter, then spend two hours in the "war room" making crazy guesses, then the narration keeps the antics up with countless "could it be" speculation.

The answer, no, no it couldn't.

Back in the olden days when I was in high school one of my classmates was convinced he could get 500 MPG in his 6,000 pound Caddy if only the big gas companies had not bought up all the rights to it and kept it off the market.

I tried to explain the basics of how much energy is in a gallon of gas, and the very simple fact that if any car maker could make a car that was big, heavy, and had tons of power and still got 50 MPG no one would buy anything else. Why drive an little car and get the same mileage. He was convinced it was all a grand big conspiracy to keep selling gas.

Hmmmm... I'm considering retirement income opportunities "the San Pedro monster" get a mini submarine and tack a dinosaur head to it... drive it around the harbor at night... charge tourists to go on the San Pedro Monster boat ride.

I remember reading the same reader's digest article back in the 60's that first interested Rick Lagina.

The search for treasure on that island is real and has been going on for well over 200 years.
Is there really treasure there? I doubt it. But i believe there once was treasure there and many others have shared that belief. Even one of our Presidents.

The first thing you need to understand is that there are 300 channels in desperate need of content. And these shows are very cheap to produce.

I know some people involved in producing one. They essentially film a camping trip. It’s a great scam.

True story, as a kid I had a “genuine” treasure map of oak island hanging on my wall

I also have friends who claim to have unicorns in their garages...

Oak Island is a joke.

And why is there not a clear unreputable picture of Bigfoot with all the sightings that have been made by amateurs and "professionals"?? Nothing on trail cameras neither that I am aware of. That being said I don't totally discount the possibility.
