Another gift idea help thread

I recently bought something for less than it was worth, private sale, seller was incredibly nice and gracious during a very long shipping process, that is I had to ship him a box with packing materials to have him pack and ship to me. Finding the exact right box took a month. What I got back exceeded expectations.

I'd like to send him something nice. Food gift card is out which was my first choice.

He's older if that helps.

Thoughts?

Something wonderful, weird and totally useless like a replica of the amber-topped walking cane from Jurassic Park

Experiences are great for people who have everything/limited storage.

A private tour of a museum in his city? Massage? Detail his car?

I love the acknowledgment that you are returning. Hats off to you.

May I suggest something simple, not very expensive, rather befitting, and Amazon will ship it right to him?

He's an original owner of a 73 911S. He was redoing the interior and selling some of those parts. So I could get him something 911 related though the only thing that comes to mind is a Momo Prototypo which isn't for everyone.

I don't know any other hobbies or interests unfortunately. Maybe one of those RS books would be good.

Very good ideas, thank you. Detailing I like. I will see about Santa Barbara museums and such.

And it's just the right thing to do. We make the world we want to live in I always say.

This is nice, thank you Dixie, now I wish I hadn't opened my last bottle of Blantons.

But that opens up possibilities.

Santa Barbara, there are a number of cool museums, which he may have already hit. I genetally sm on my way to somewhere else driving through there. I wonder if you could set up auditing a course at UC Santa Barbara that would be of interest to him

I have always wanted to take a tour of the Reagan Ranch

At one time, I owned an original 1972 Porsche brochure. My neighbor gave it to me. I have since re-gifted it. It was a cool little piece of memorabilia. That might work as well.

Someone I know just picked up a 1939 Packard Super 8. They were gifted a 1939 Packard brochure for Christmas. They were very pleased.
