Exactly right: He has all the original engine and other parts, just prefers to drive with some oomph.

Frankly, the owner and the other guy that stayed, a farmer, were both a hoot and it was a 1/2 hour of goodness.

Tried to get him to buy an unmolested original unrestored ‘49 that I located in San Jose. I even inspected and drove the car,,, Couldn’t get him to pull the trigger. A fantasy of mine is to find one, modify it like he did using period parts and techniques so that I can experience the car as he did.

I didn't take a picture because I was driving and past it before I realized, but today I saw a "Haval GWM"

Great Wall Motor (GWM) is a major Chinese automaker. Haval is one of their brands, specializing in SUVs.
Haval's SUV Focus:
Haval is known for its range of SUVs, including the Jolion (a compact SUV), the H6 (a mid-size SUV), and the H6 GT (a coupe-style SUV)

I think it may have been the "H6" I don't think it was the "H6 GT". And I don't think (but not positive) it was the Jolion.
