That is a cool wrench in the video, but I am 100# sure I will never need a 2,000 FT pound wrench.

The rear axle nut on my 911 is torqued to something like 325 pound feet. When I rebuilt the rear suspension, removing it was easy, impact wrench took it right off. To tighten it, I used my 3 foot long wrench, as I stood on our bathroom scale. I pushed down on the end of the wrench, and did the math of what the scale said I should weigh. I kew that was "close enough" but I like science.

I went to a local truck repair shop at a truck stop a few miles from house. I walked up with the socket in hand, and a $20 in my hand. I asked the first mechanic is he would use his 3 foot long torque wrench to tighten two nuts. Click Click, done. I was very close, but they did tighten a little bit from my tightening. I can't imagine I will ever need anything beyond the rear axle nut on a G body 911.

Still that is a cool old wrench that would be a cool wall hangar in my garage.

Rear axle nut from a 930 or widebody enters the chat.

I had to buy a 3/4 in breaker bar to crush the sleave, well over 500ftlbs. Used one of the strain gauged torque adapter thingies. Pretty accurate from the tests i have seen. 750ft lb torque wrench for 30$ breaker bar + 60$ 3/4 torque adapter

That must be what they use to put wheels back on at NTB. I just had a bugger this week, sheesh
