her answers were perfect. better than I could have done.

big words, no past work experience. she just has to type quickly to use A!?

im real confused about this concept that you could use AI to "cheat" at a job interview.

like ... if you can just google and use AI to solve the problems that you are hiring this person for ... what are you hiring them for exactly?

and if you cant ... then why are you asking them questions that AI can answer correctly?

interviews are mostly IMO about personality, mentality, people skills, etc ... if you doubt the person has the technical knowledge, or can't learn them on the job ... you probably shouldnt be interviewing them.

this, like most AI applications, seems like a pretty far fetched one. or you are using interviews wrong.

Not even that. There’s ai models that actively listen to the interview and provide instant full context answers

Hire her. She's innovative and knows how to get things done quickly, efficiently, and is tech savvy. New blood, and new thinking are just what your company needs.

Would you be worried she used a calculator if it was 1975?

Video meeting? Show the candidate a pic of a problem, and ask them how to solve, showing their work in real time......

Exactly the kind of demeaning interview where I used to get up and leave.

What's so demeaning about demonstrating skills that are required to do the job?

No. I’ve seen this play out before. They fall flat on their face after a few months (if that).

There is nothing clever or useful about someone who needs a crutch during an interview. Hire the AI system she used, tell her to pound sand.

If you think they are AI ask them to do a full turn around, AI can't do that.

Good one.

A job interview is less a problem solving session and more of a personality and competency test. If a candidate (even if she's 'female') cannot be bothered to demonstrate both, they WILL fail at their required tasks.

I don’t think they’re cheating that hard. There’s ai models directly used for interview questions that will give a chatgpt 4.5 level response in real time. It’s innovate and a tool but it won’t work at the end of the day for someone’s competency.

That said, anyone here use that camo-gpt…?! Holy fak is that one fun.

LOL! Sorry, dude. It happens.

At least you did get the answer that you were looking for.

Meh, there's no guaranty that she actually knows anything about the subject matter. Maybe she's cheated her way through life (some folks are very good at that). You need to understand what's going on, even if you can use AI in real life so you understand when AI is wrong.

Yep, good option if an image of a problem is something that applies to the job.

demeaning? Why is being asked to demonstrate skills demeaning? Maybe when you were in the trenches, there weren't any dumbaßes around, but there are plenty these days. I've seen more than a few slip through the cracks one way or another.

right, it often doesn't take months for the folks around them to know, but it usually takes months before management is certain, and then it's harder to kick them to the curb.

Depends on 'the job' applied for.

I used to just tell applicants to show up, they got the job. (construction labor and mechanics) 80% no-shows, and 50% of those quit within a week. They just wanted a name to put on their unemployment showing they tried to find work.

Dixie, I'd have hired you without an interview, after seeing you tackle those flooring & siding jobs. Most of my employees were afraid to try anything new.

Yep. I've seen lots of stuff out of India. There are folks in India that really know what they are doing, but there are also a lot of folks that aren't afraid to lie. I know a guy that actually had someone present him with his own resume (few small edits here and there, but otherwise same employment history experience).
