Spinal Tap II. I'm not sure what to think.
I've seen ads and trailers; spend 15 bucks at the theatre to get great sound?
Or, maybe not. This isn't helping. If this is an indication of what to expect, it feels like the movie might just be a lazy cash grab.

You're probably not wrong about the lazy cash grab, but surely there is a lot of material for too old to rock and roll metal band jokes.

I know, but Christopher Guest has set a very high bar. His movies are usually really good - clever, witty, fun. (For Your Consideration maybe the exception)
Maybe that video bothers me more than it should.

Oh man, great example! Good thing I was drinking when I watched that movie because there’s no way I could handle it sober. As a child of the ‘80s I’m starting to feel like Hollywood is lazily pandering to my generation with a bunch of half-assed sequels to make me nostalgic. I’m not a fan at all.

If they can make money off it, I'm okay with that. But I'm not interested. I was never a fan of that kind of music, but I think the movie was great.

I am 59. My entire generation thinks it is AMAZING.
It never really grabbed me. And, I have spent thousands of hours in rock bands. Too close? No idea. Won't be seeing it. I typically don't care for sequels. And if the first one didn't grab me? Not happening. Wow. Do I sound fun. |

My favorite of their mockumentaries is Best in Show. If you like dogs, you can't miss.

But they used "little people" anyway. Weird. I bet Peter Dinklage was too expensive to reprise his role.

"It's one louder, isn't it?" When Marty asks why not simply make the 10 setting louder, Nigel hesitates before responding: "These go to eleven."
If the sequel can match that level of genius that got a phrase entered into the Oxford Dictionary, maybe I'll watch it.

The best scene in the movie, IMO.
