I made a thing. to stabilize plastic.
my fish finder is heavy. on a cantilevered arm, it jiggled quite a bit. been like this for years. a rod holder holding a rod, dangling a big weight deep into the ocean felt like it would snap off, or tweak or crack the plastic.
they sell one, but for $40, I felt I could do...not better. not even close to better, but along the same spirit (lets just say). I had free plastic tossed by a contractor on one of my retaining wall jobs. add $6 worth of stainless hardware and I was "cooking with gas". I bridged the two accessory tracks and now it is rock solid!! and anyone that can cut a straight line with a coping saw..hats off!! I am humbled. me: "whoa!! where do you think your going?" I am surrounded by neighbors with wood working shops...my therapist says I have issues asking for help ![]()

Nice work! 34 bucks into the fishing lure fund.
Coping saws. Forcing people to cope with their anxiety, breathing and patience for hundreds of years.

A coping saw made me cry when I was 8 or 9.
I have one in my tool box. I keep it, throw other tools n top of it but, don’t use it as revenge for my shame. Trick is learning how tight you can adjust the bow screw without snapping the blade in half. Great job Vash. Why didn’t you use a Sabre saw?

coping saws aren't really made for straight lines. They're more of a curved line kind of saw.
Nice job on the "fabricating". You should have found a way to incorporate your paint stir stick bridge!

You could have just spent $600 and 3D printed something inferior.
