Chitty Chitty Bang Bang got me thinking. It somehow doesn't look quite right for a brass era car. Like it was specifically made for a movie. That leads me to guess it's from The Great Race?

I was thinking, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, looked it up and that was wrong. Then I’m thinking, Around The World in 80 days and that was wrong. Then I was out of ideas.

Maybe what movie it's not will help someone get it. I was thinking The Big Chill, but that's not the house in the movie. (The movie house is a historic house in Beaufort, SC. I've been to it.) Then I thought Bullet, or Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but I'm pretty sure that house isn't in those movies either.

Dixie, you might be right. I immediately thought Big Chill. But now that I think about it, that car was clapped out. Gogars posting is way too nice for TBC.

Not TBC car, which was a Targa. I looked it up, so hint- Matthew McConaughey. I can't even say if he was driving it, but he probably was. I saw the movie, but have no memory of the Porsche.

It was a Mercury Cougar concept car. Jack Lemmon drove it in "Under The Yum-Yum Tree".

I knew Jim Brucker who used to own Professor Fate's car from TGR, don't know if he owned "The Leslie". He had a museum in Buena Park "Movie World Auto Museum" or something like that. He also owned this car....
