New look for CART racing in 2004
Motor-rock. Looks like CART might be taking a new approach next year. Rock concerts on Saturday night, street courses mainly, Saturday TransAm, Sunday CART races. No ovals, very few existing road courses. The feeling is the fans want more, an easy to reach downtown big city circuit and a big-name
band for Saturday night. What do you guys think? Can it bail CART out of it's financial woes?

No ovals? I'm in! TransAm is great to watch in person. I hope it's enough. We'd be left with just IRL
![]() But, it's still not as good as F1 IMHO.

Fast and light, just the way I like it. (Sad to say, it's sold. But at least it remains with us on this board.) My car http://www.pelicanparts.com/gallery/CHILI 1969 RSR Project. Friday should be the day CART tells us what's going on. New owners, no ovals, concerts at the track during race weekend.
Could be interesting. Some long time CART tracks could be out with a push towards big-city events. I do hope we have some form of open-wheel road coarse racing in this country. At the moment, CART seems like our best bet other than F1 at Indy....
