Those Porsche ads from the early 60s look like fantastic deals to us now. In 1960 however, you could do a good job of living, paying bills, buying houses & cars, & raising families on $320 to $400 per month. So if you look at those prices and compare those incomes to yours today, you can get an idea of what the relative prices on a car from that time would cost compared to today.

Both are 15.2 oz cans.
Somehow the one on the right is 40% bigger than a 10.75oz can, but the one on the left is only 30% bigger than a 10.75oz can.
