For all stages of life from kitten to geriatric.

Based on your pic, it looks like you know how to handle yourself but that little guy has your number. I'm sure I wouldn't have done anything different.

The vet gave me a couple of bags of Science Diet® kitten food.

This is cat #8 (4 indoor, 4 outdoor), so I kinda have the process down

Also being a cat person let me say I have had cats as long as I have been breathing (or should I say they have had me?) and fed mine Science diet with no problems.

Not to open a can of worms but... here I go...

Long story short, a cats natural diet (in the wild) in mostly all protein i.e. raw meat.
And most dry cat food has some level of carbs.
YMMV

You are absolutely right. Cats need raw meat in their diet. My two Burmese wouldn't touch raw hamburger or raw liver or even a piece of steak, but they would eat caned tuna or some cooked fish. They both lived to 17 years passing just recently. The picture I posted of the blue cat face was one of them. The next kittens I get will be getting the raw meat they need.

Unfortunately, the Burmese breed here in the US has almost been destroyed with the breeders inbreeding the cats just so they could win a ribbon at the cat shows. So I am looking into importing a couple cats from Thailand where the breed originated and maybe even breed them to revitalize the Burmese breed.

Some interesting reading here:
