Month/Day/Year makes for a quicker evaluation than Day/Month/Year. By putting month first, you know in which part of a year an event is. Whereas with days, they repeat every month, so little info is gained at first. If you wanted an even step of units for dates, Year/Month/Day would allow for a quicker grasp of what is important than Day/Month/Year.

For example, if the first number is 12 in the date for a gig, I start thinking Christmas concert. When I read European concert dates, I end up either reading them right to left, which is backwards from how I read the numbers, or I go middle, right, far left.

All dates should be stored as unix time stamps Let the software display it however the user wants it.

The photo shows an animal with bat wing anatomy, unknown in the pterosaur lineage.
Otherwise, not a bad photoshop. With a modicum of research, it could have been (superficially) more convincing.
Cool.

We have yet to see an authentic verified photo of a carcass, but there are some great vintage-appearing photos being passed around. The one (above) has a nice vintage hunters look to it.

Mark Witton.com Blog: 9 things you may not know about giant azhdarchid pterosaurs

Quote:
The 2015 version of the giraffe vs. azhdarchid vs. person image, now in it's fifth iteration (see the general history of these images through the years: 2006; 2007; 2009). The giraffe is a big bull Masai individual, standing a healthy 5.6 m tall, close to the maximum known Masai giraffe height. The pterosaur is a 10 m wingspan Arambourgiania philadelphiae (for reasons I cannot go into now, it is not wise to consider the appearance of giant azhdarchid taxa interchangeable any more: this should not be considered Hatzegopteryx thambema or Quetzalcoatlus northropi). The Disaknowlegement provides the human touch. These characters will receive some additional company soon.

It is pictures like that that make me realize that our great-grandparents, grandparents and others were made of stronger stuff long forgotten. The things our families did back then to earn a living are mind boggling. We as a modern society have become quite soft I'm afraid. When helping a supervisor move several years back, it took four of us to move an extra engine block for his model-A. He showed us a vintage production picture where two guys did the same job.

Note the uniform of the day. A button up shirt and tie. The wife tells me about people showing up at the local courthouse in shorts, tank tops, hats repping everything from gangs to OMG groups etc. no respect for the system anymore it seems.

A large set of plumbs were required back then.......

I was rafting on the Stanislaus River in California in the late 1970's when I saw a Condor flying up river, no more that 50 feet off the water, probably 1/4 mile in front my raft.

We were in a still part of the river and it was very quiet.

The Condor flew right over the raft, wings barely moving, just the feathers on the tips of the wings adjusting heading, at perhaps 30 feet.

The thing I will always remember was the sound: You could hear the air passing over the great wings, creating lift.

The customers in the raft were from Germany. I remember because one of the daughters was my age and hotter than a pan of Kasespatzle.

We all looked at each other and no one said a word. It was cool.

Not my pic:

Because as scavengers they spend a lot of with their head inside dead stuff.
If they had feathers it would be a great environment for nasty stuff to grow. .They sit in the sun and let the sun bake their head and kill the bacteria.
