Assuming the above was true ... if we took all the money we spend to "get" those things, it would be equal to a stack of one dollar bills 43,384 MILES high. Or enough to make a stack of $100 bills over 433 miles high. Note the black hole of money known as the international space station is only 248 miles high.

Sammy, I know you hate NASA, and the space programs. Real science is expensive. That money does not go up into space on giant pallets and get dumped into space. Most of it stays right here in the USA paying the salaries of American scientists. It all stays right here on earth. It gives jobs to smart people, to build and invent new technologies.
Everything you can see right now was invented. The cell phone you have was not invented by NASA, but much of the technology that it is based on, was. Like the new gizmos in the vehicle you drive, the tires, the backup cameras, tire pressure monitors and the rest. It is impossible to put a value on new discoveries of the moons of Jupiter. Just the knowledge that Io is has a huge ocean does not change the life for anyone on earth. We never know how science and learning will someday lead to new discoveries we can't even imagine now.
