IIRC that movie was available in some sort of gimmick where you could tune the radio to sync with the movie and get an early version of surround sound?
A bit fuzzy on that, prolly 'cause of Victoria and lower blood pressure to the knoggin.

I was wondering how many people there were on Whitney when that happened. I was the Mt. Whitney ranger for the USNPS during the summer of 1976 and spent quite a bit of time there. Could have been a bit frightening.
