I like my Ho's bruised and bleached skinned and I cannot lie, you other brothas can't deny, when a Ho walks in with a big bruise on her shin you get sprung.. so on and so forth..
I'll stop now before I get arrested and tossed from the BBS.

GUY'S.... I know that jumping on ebay adds is a favorite passion of many of our pelicanites, and jumping on add issues is one thing, BUT picking on one of our own, EXPECIALY the female in the add is TOTALY over the line! I personally feel embarassed for unclezak as he has personally helped many of us with engine issues in the past, including building motors for many of us. you may not agree with me but lay off the personal issues (wife, girlfriends, kids and porsches)

You know; I always thought that topless pictures of Targa's were a flattering view -- I've reconsidered.

But then, I've come to the conclusion that Targa's carry too much weight above the beltline,

...especially when compared to an early coupe.

I hate eBay, but love it when stuff like this arises from it.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not seeing much arise from this ad.

Paul, does that bring us closer OT???

Seriously folks, one of the rules of successful marketing is that you don't want anything in the ad that will distract from message, unless your intention is to distract.

Wow--this thread is completely out of line! I understand you're inviting this sort of "feedback" if you post pictures of your girlfriend/wife on the internet. But ask yourself if you ran into unclezak and his gf/wife on the street if you would make similar comments...

Ok I'm out of line - I thought she was a model. Why else would you include her in your ebay ad?

This thread hits a new low. If it had stayed on dissing the car vs the ad (plenty of material there arguably!) I wouldnt have posted. But since several of you started trashing the looks of the woman in the picture (whoever she is, whatever relation to zak), I couldnt sit on the sidelines while you trash a person. So here goes. For all of you who tossed a stone, post a picture of your babe and see what comes back. Have you no shame? Or are you just meeting the stereotypical porsche owner depicted in hollywood? (Stuck up, money centered, trophy wife, mid life crisis, balding man with a beer gut, some bucks, and a penile car extension)... By the way, the first thing I saw was her smile. Very nice.

I think she's hot, I love my targa and I am a happy UncleZak customer with a $4500 2.7 RS rebuild. I'm sure Zak's skin is thick enough to handle you guys but Zak is one of the guys who keeps the 911 experience affordable for those of us at the lower end of the Porsche food chain. If you can afford Andial and the Porsche tax, good for you. But a $3k rebuild is what Zak does all day long, recycling cores and good used parts and I have yet to hear of quality problems from his customers. Do I expect my engine to last 100k miles? No. Will it be the last engine my car ever needs - for sure if I don't bend any more valves.

Ease up.

I have to admit...the first thing I noticed was the bruise on the leg.

If the attempt was to draw attention to the listing (good or bad) it apparently has worked.

Totally Uncalled For

Boy I sure loose the feeling of community after reading this thread.

TOTALLY UNECCESSARY!

Zak helped me out with an MFI head I needed in a hurry one time.

Zak you're good stuff in my books.

Cheers!

Ask and you shall receive................

Too skinny is about the only chink I can find in that armor. And how's that for a smile? Seriously, she's not "mine" but I had to hunt for the best picture I could just for spite.

Oh, and i'm a humble guy, average income, not at mid life yet, still got plenty o' hair and in better shape than about 95% of the US population, if the car got squashed by a garbage truck tomorrow I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

Sure everybody oughta ease up a bit. Just a bit of immature banter going on. Such is the nature of message boards. Pardon me if I get amused by this stuff. Sure this board is without a doubt the most dignified and respectable board i've seen. Nevertheless, sometimes even the best organizations stray from excellence.

My apologies go out to anyone I may have offended. And I don't even think I said anything! I still stand by what I said about eBay. Put together an accurate auction and these kinda things don't happen?

Here you go - Blast away

I also recommend that if you are not open to criticism - don't post pictures on the internet - especially ebay.

Guess I'll be rebuilding my own engine now.

PLEASE MOVE THIS TO OFF TOPIC BEFORE ZAK SEES IT!!!

I'm all for fun and sarcastic humor, but I think this thread is taking the low road.

Targas have redeemed themselves.

. . the thing is; ya don't try to dress-up an old car, in an attempt to pass it off as some young hot model. . . .especially when you're fully aware of the ebay Pelican Patrol.
