I sometimes carry my bikes on my SC. What do you ride? I had no idea anyone else on the board is or was a fellow BMX'er. I used to race, dirt-jump, & ride alot of steet, untill I broke my tail-bone a few years ago. I had to drive with a seat cushion for 2 farking months! That's when I decided to take it easy, since I have to work for a living.

I still have a Standard STA 500 & a 24" Haro aluminum race cruiser hanging in the garage.

i've been riding the same GT pro-freestyle tour since '89.......chrome, top tube's been welded a couple of times
i've tried some of the newer stronger frames but they're WAY heavier and i'm not replacing my frame until i need to.
here's a pic of my gt....notice the old acs RL's (100psi) these need replaced finally LOL

this is an indoor park some longtime friends of mine opened http://www.chenga.cc/ ....fun place.......their new locale has a "secret" upstairs with a giant flatland area for only our crew

i've had it in the 911.......but that's what my omni is for......
street rocks.....but i just turned 31 and tend to forget i need a little more time to recover from hard crashes so i've been doing more flatland than anything recently

Dude, Chenga is a huge name in the park scene! That's awesome! My friend use to have a Hot-Pink Pro freestyle Tour just like that. Those ACS tires may be old, but I still haven't found anything I like better for street.

ok i'm now on a quest to find some more rl's.......gotta do freaking research.....maybe get a complete dealer list and check with all of them for old stock......maybe there are some in montana somewhere

i haven't kept track of the "scene" for many years......just ridin you know.
every once and a while someone i've riden with (from 10+ years ago) pops up on x-games
geez........everytime i see bmxers getting paid (mirra for example) i kick myself in the ass for parking the bike in the 90's.......but oh well.....i guess it's like riding a bike...........sorry, had to

It's like once you turn 16 and get your drivers license, there goes the bike skills. I took a break after turning 16, untill I was about 20, then started racing again. I use to tell the little 15 year old gromments that rode, once you turn 16, you'll be driven and chasin' *******, and they would be like no way, I'll never stop ridin'. Sure as $hit, 90% of them would quit right after they bought there first set of wheels.

I'll see if I can get my digi cam to work, and I'll snap a couple pics of my steads.

cool, when i got my liscense it was more an excuse to trek up to cleveland (i was originally from an hour away) and street ride....which led to meeting dave scheaffer and scott powell (they own chenga).
i used to have a dodge colt that we could fit 5 people and 5 bikes hanging out the back.....then i wised up and bought the van.
i kinda stopped riding a couple years after i moved to cleveland, then i found the flats (a 1mile run of bars on the river downtown cleveland).....man....talk about distractions
then i got into cars......and here i am tooling on the 911 one night and riding the next across the street in the lit up country club parking lot.......things always revert to what's deep inside the soul......scuff marks on your legs and bleeding shins
