Paul,

Nice rig. I don't have a CCW permit (open carry is allowed here in the wild west though) otherwise I'd invest in something like that.

The 22 is a full frame, but I've got big freakin' paws. I've never gotten used to smaller pistols.

The Tupperware stuff is great. Gives a whole new meaning to "point 'n' shoot".

Though I have to say H&K makes some pretty items.

It is Israeli. I was mentioning the places that other brand/variations of the AK were made.

Actually the inventor/designer of this Galil is Israel Galili (who also designed many different Uzis). It is a refined verion of the much lighter yet tempermental and delicate FN FAL (Fabrique Nationale). Here's another good link on the subject. A must have for any serious collector. http://www.ak-47.net/ak47/galil.html

I never thought much of the FN FALs but Steyr (Austrian) made a version of the FAL that is awesome. I am considering the SA58 in .308 myself. Personally I fell in love with the Galil in the 80s but it is most commonly found in .223 which is not a favorite of mine.

BTW I went to the Knob Creek machine gun shoot last month and it ROCKED!!!!! I finally got to shoot the M82 (50 cal) I want one bad. If you ever get the chance, this show is one of a kind. Everything from mac10 to a quad .50 to 2 miniguns blazing away. Saturday night was a sight to behold with tracers and TNT lighting up the night sky. I have never seen so many rounds expended in a 2 day period. I had a great time.

My ccw of choice is a springfield 1911 in .45 acp (what else?) with a few mods I did to it for performance and reliability (trigger job, recoil rod, etc) Nothing like a .45 230 gr for my taste.

Pete
