That was kind of fun. I knew about the true crime author, Jack Olsen. We used to occasionally get each others email, and we were friends until he died last year.

I always get a kick out of seeing his book covers in libraries. And I keep this one on my shelf, in my own library, as a warning to the ladies:

But I didn't know about these Jack Olsens:

I've got to have a "Jack Olsens Only" party one of these days.

There seems to be a recurring "cue-ball" gene in the Olsen family bloodline, Jack.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do look good in spandex, but that's not me on the cover.

I grew up teaching snow skiing and skateboarding, when Rollerblades came out I was on the sport early and developed the teaching methods used by everyone today. The book has been a fun project over the last 10 years and helped pay for some fun sports related vacations.

professional singing career
began as the 15 yr. old rockability vocalist in an Idaho country group known as Freddy Chapman & the Idaho Playboys. Freddy was a DJ at the country station KFXD out of Nampa, Idaho and recruited Mark after hearing about "a real talented kid" who had just won a local talent contest
A year later, when Freddy's radio career took him out of the area, Mark heard about a band that was playing the local I.O.O.F. Hall, so new that they didn't even have a name yet. He took off his thick glasses, walked up to the stage, and asked to sing a song--"Crazy Arms". Overcome with shyness, he ran off the stage after his performance.
The next day, Mark was at his job at McClure's bakery, and the bandleader (Paul Revere Dick) stopped by to pick up an order of buns for his drive-in restaurant. He was telling Mark (who was unrecognizable in his baker's hat, thick glasses, and light dusting of flour) about the show of the previous night, and how "this crazy kid" got up on stage with them. "How was he?" asked Mark nervously. "Not bad!" admitted Paul. Mark whipped off his hat and glasses and announced, "It was ME!" Shortly thereafter, he was the official lead singer for still-unnamed band.??????????

It's part of the Medical Board of California webpage. More than the National database info. California leads the way in making records public. For example; If you are sued for malpractice, even if it's unfounded, your insurance carrier may choose to settle it as a nuisance claim. They can settle on your behalf without your consent! This "malpractice settlement" becomes part of the public record and is easily discovered with a "google" search. So, it's good to be invisible!
