(off topic) 1 bar boost versus 6.5 richter scale?

Odd comparison? Hell no! This morning I was sitting about 20 miles from the epicenter of a gnarly 6.5 quake. It was a ride equal to stabbing it in my 930 through 4 gears. We rocked for about 20 seconds. My son was right next to me, I picked him up and yelled for my dog and ran out in the street. I thought my house was coming down with my 930 in the garage. My 2 year old thought it was fun. Whoa, another aftershock right now! My dog freaked. What a ride! I bet driving fast through a corner on boost when it hit would have been even more exciting?

I'm now thoroughly convinced that god hates California. Never been so glad to live in Kansas.

Matt,

I've been to Kansas...And no disrespect but I'd rather live here with sharks, earthquakes, LA, and all the other crap in this state. I live on the coast, no traffic, no smog, just open roads, beaches, and earthquakes. But, Kansas was nice too...Hmm..Well, maybe not. Better than LA though.

My mother lives in Oklahoma, about an hour north of Oklahoma City. A few years ago a whoopass tornado rolled through OKC, and debris landed in her yard. She ended up with pieces of someone's old canceled checks, a few photos, and other misc debris.

It boils down to where you want your stuff to end up. A California earthquake may wreck your house, but at least it will be in one big pile for you to sort through. A midwest tornado wrecks you house, and spreads your stuff over hundreds of square miles.

Both would suck.

God appears to hate everyone equally, since we all have this time bomb ticking away known as Age....

Glad you made it through okay.

Don't forget the fires we get here too! Now all we need are some gnarly mud slides or floods to round out the year...

...NOT!

Pu$$ies....Big Bear and Landers were both 7.0's...the house was rockin and rollin like it was at a Stones concert...the dog had a heart attack and the pool was half empty by the time it stopped shaking....All I did was roll over in bed and wonder how big of one it was this time?

BTW: When I was a kid we had fires where the ash looked like a blizard coming down and in the winter we had the mudslides...ever see your dog swimining around in the garage?

Personnaly I'll choose a fire over a tornado anyday. You can do things to protect your home from fire.

One measly little earthquake, and you people are afraid of california? Most of cali didnt even know that there was an earthquake till 3 hours later!!

Keep your tornado's.
