Anybody else watch "The Shield"?

I'm friggin' hooked!

We don't really get it here in Australia, as it's a little too controversial for regular network TV, but due to stupid "Airing Rights", the cable channels can't pick it up (and probably run with it) until the entire season has been aired on Network TV, which due to the content, probably won't happen for several more months.

So, I bought Season One on DVD and loved it.

I just got Season Two on DVD and it's even better. More gritty, more violent and with more laughs and better developed stories than the first. I'm about halfway through Season Two and I can't remember another TV show that keeps you guessing and keeps you watching like this one does. I could easily miss a few episodes of NYPD Blue, Law & Order, SVU, CSI etc and not miss the general thrust of the series. Not this one.

Even the little mundane details are unique. It hardly follows the typical cop-show stereotypes.

What do you guys think?

Best Cop Show around, IMHO!

I agree with you whole-heartedly about how it keeps you guessing. You never know what to expect. Season 3 begins March 9. They've atually been playing Season 2 all over again as a prelude to Season 3. I can't wait...I am so stoked!
