Cornering direction bias?

I was talking with one of my motorcycle friends this afternoon, and he raised the point that most people corner tighter in one direction than the other. For example, he always leans farther to the right than to the left, despite the fact that his bike has more physical clearance to turn to the left.

Then I asked the question -- do car people do the same thing?! Do I turn harder into one side then another? I think, in reviewing my driving, I probably pull harder into the left-handed turns, and give myself slightly more room when turning to the right. But then, I could just be deluding myself.

Anybody have any comments on this? Is this a known issue that serious drivers deal with regularly, or is it just some silly myth? Do you have a corner bias?

I believe I do! Could stem from the fact that I'm sitting on the left side of the vehicle, so visibility out the left side is so much better.

If I remember correctly, It was just the opposite when I lived in Japan, driving on the right.

That kind of confirms my suspicions. I wish I had a slightly larger sample population, though ...

I corner harder on right hand turns, regardless of whether it's a left hand drive or right hand drive car - I'm right handed.

This is one I've studied a bit on hill climbs.
I've tried this with lhd and rhd cars and a good observer. In my case I take lefts faster in lhd and rights faster in rhd. I've put it down to sitting lower when turning in and so feeling the speed less. It's noticable, it's marginal, but I am working on it
