help with mates Supra turbo prob

my mate was on his way to work very early (4.30am) yesterday in his modded Toyota Supra twin Turbo. He was accelerating hard in top gear at about 160mph (on his own with a clear road...) when the power dropped off. he backed off and pulled over. the engine stalled, he went to re-start it and it wouldnt start. he popped the bonnet and he had oil over the top of the engine, oil dribbling out of the cone-type air filter, oil dribbing from the dump valve. does anyone have any ideas? i was thinking that perhaps he's holed a piston and hes compressing the crankcase and its blowing oil into the inlet hose, (after the air filter but before the turbos) he has a three stage boost controller which gives him about 1.7 bar on stage 3.

Could the turbo have completely destroyed some sort of oil seal, sending oil straight into the intake (and presumably out the exhaust?).

This doesn't sound like a cheap problem?

He might have lost a turbo bearing which could wipe out the oil seal, but I'd have to bet on engine damage. the turbo is an easy check tho, just pull off the inlet hoses and wiggle the turbo impellers. If one of em moves very much, there ya go. It's either going to be expensive or really expensive.
