no pole for Mikey
in front of the home town crowd...the pole goes to a HONDA engine. Haven't watched it yet (mmm, Tivo), but saw the headline on Google news.

Should be a good race. I have a buddy working for BAR so I am glad to see them get there. It is kind of awesome to see BAR spanking Mcleren and Williams. I think Farrari will summon the racing gods and pull the win out but I am hoping for a Button win. That would be as good as it gets. I have been a massive Schui fan for years, but I love to see racing. I think we just might get it this weekend.
My prediction: Schui will come out in first in the first two laps. The Michelin tires may let button down for the first few. The bridgestones seem better for the first few.

Quite a bit of fireworks about the Shumi/JPM punt. I just got flamed over on speedvision. Everone seems to think that MS punting JPM was out of line. The way I see it if you dont want to get punted dont try to pass a car that outqualified you around the outside unless thy are dead in the water.

Why doesn't anyone seem to care that M. Schu still puts more than half his car over the white line and ripple strips during each race?
He was pulled up on it a few years ago... why not now? This whole holier-than-thou attitude really turns me off F1. I hope Bernie's new rules will shake things up. I'm getting sick of the Ferrari show. ![]()

I don't think DC turned into the Renault. I'll have to watch it again (I'm only up to about the 7th lap), but somebody locked up in front of the Renault heading into the corner and it looked to me like DC didn't see it (but he probably should have expected it).
Those cars are pretty tough though...the Renault didn't seem to flinch at the contact. So which engine did they put into Kimi's car? Wasn't there some grousing about them swapping? Any advantage has to be more than compensated for by starting at the back of the grid, though, right? |

The Jp/MS punt was a little 'interesting'....sure MS was on the racing line, but JP was ahead as they turned in....which if the driver sees it means he has to allow the overtaking driver to proceed without forcing him to back off....which he didn't do.
The rules and MS don't go together..as he has been the best game in town for so long nobody wants to piss him off. It all started back in the 90s when he and Damon Hill came together in Australia and MS won his first championship. They did punish him then when they should have and so these habits grow. He does have the best team around him and that's becuase he is geat tems builder and driver. All credit to him fot that but he does feel he's above it all.....which is a shame. He does himself no service by this attitiude. AS for JP, he's got to start winnig and big time if he wants o retain any credibility. |

Also It's the MS show and Im glad it is, he is the best driver out there. Rubins is driving an almost identical car to MS and he couldn't get by anyone.

Montoya is a whiny little boy. In any form of racing, it's the overtaking driver's responsibility to safely make the pass. Around the outside of a car that out-qualified you and in the third corner of the first lap is not a smart move. Half-way past him on the inside of the turn and anyone would have given him room to pass. Montoya is currently in an inferior racecar to Ferrari and Honda. He should resign himself to running in the middle of the pack this year.

Yes he is a Nancy-boy. Has anyone seen that video going around where a cameraman accidentally bumps him on the head? He starts whining and complaining like a little girl. Its friggen hilarious.
Wait - here it is: http://forum.racesimcentral.com/showthread.php?t=146308
