If that foot is 1974 or earlier vintage, I would recommend the use of case savers.
If its an economy rebuild you could stay with OEM steel studs. Stay away from Dilavar (I hear EDMing of the foot to remove a broken one can be a little painful). I have heard good things about the new OEM alloys and if you run marathons I'd go with ARP.

Reminds me of when i snapped my right humerous while armwrestling. Then broke it again while driving a poor-shifting manual.
