whoa! Get well soon...

RickM 04-29-2004 07:29 AM

Holly S*** That looks like it hurts!

What happened?

RANDY P 04-29-2004 07:29 AM

Ouch!. Sorry to hear that man. What happened to ya?

It's OK. Somebody upstairs must have it in for Red SC owners. Last Wed. I ripped a quadricep in the Gym doing heavy squats. Wound up in the emergency room. Now I sit here gimping around on my Left leg, and I am 1 hour and 15 minutes away from surgery to reattach it. My SC has been put in a foster home so it may be driven the 6 weeks or so I'm out.

Busted legs suck. Get well soon.

Woow. Yea what happened? Did you have an accident or was it surgery you have needed? Hide the porsche keys...there will probably be a few pelicans wanting to keep the engine warm. ;)

lendaddy 04-29-2004 07:43 AM

Ouch! I got a couple of those, not too bad. You'll be up and kickin in a week or so. Meaning semi-mobile:) I had reconstructive knee surgury a couple years ago, they said 4-6 months recovery. I was golfing in 10 days:) The lawyers found out and I lost my settlement, but hey whatever:) Get well soon!

SRISER 04-29-2004 07:48 AM

Congrats...most virgins don't announce it to the world but...what? Huh? Oh, my bad...godspeed on your leg recovery!!

Shuie 04-29-2004 07:55 AM

Man, you really did get screwed. Any therapy?

Get well Mark.

Mark Wilson 04-29-2004 08:07 AM

Thanks all. I had bone spurs and missing cartilage(former runner), so this was planned. Gotta get the other one done in a few months.

Good drugs kicking in now. Hard to t...y....p....e......

RickM 04-29-2004 08:11 AM

Heh heh, Good luck and get well soon, Mark.

Does your new best friends name rhyme with M-oxy or Perc-ulator?

SRISER 04-29-2004 08:11 AM

Quick! Get some booze, it will intensify the effect...

Mark Wilson 04-29-2004 08:22 AM

glad you are not on vicoden! that stuff will plug you up for weeks. you will hobble all gimpy to the toilet, take 5 minutes of agony to sit down on the toilet slowly while holding the leg steady, sit down, set the leg in the least painfull position and........NOTHING!

get well.

island911 04-29-2004 09:03 AM

Percocet also has this side effect with some.

Wishes for a speedy recovery Mark. Hey, it would be a long drive down here for you, but the next time Tom Wilkinson & I go on a "tour de Lebanon", would you be interested in coming down? We had a great time driving deserted nearby twisty roads yesterday, some time spent driving each other's cars...he enjoying a mild '72S, me trying to keep his Orange Tiger on it's leash...all followed by one of Cindy's great chicken dinners...:D
Why am I telling you this? Healing incentive, man...healing incentive. Get well soon! Paul

island911 04-29-2004 09:23 AM

Geeze Mark, thats a big screw.

Seems like a lot of expence and hassle, too.

btw, is that a hollow screw? . . how much unsprung weight did it add?

I guess I'll never understand this craze over having a stiffer suspension.
